Push That Knot Away

In the morning when you wake
It is a doorway for you to walk through to become what you make
Just remember you have heaven in your heart
It is inside you, and it will guide you so long as you listen hard.

Love this girls voice and style...

Long time...

So here I am finally getting back to my blog after many weeks of craziness! I have moved into a gorgeous new house...I have settled into college and am still loving getting to be arty everyday... I have survived the maddest snow I've seen since I was a kid...and the reason for no blog is because our PC died unexpectedly, so I've treated myself to a netbook!

All this and now Xmas is just around the corner...more craziness.

I'm planning on making most of my presents this year so I've been spending lots of time knitting or stitching whatever I can. Also, in-between unpacking, work and college I've been trying to get on with my lovely cardigan project. Its finally taking shape now and I'm so excited to get it finished and actually wear it :)

In the meantime, more cards. I'm going for a more vintage look lately...

The other thing I do....

I love knitting as much as making cards but I haven't done enough lately due to the kitten situation! I've been knitting since my Grandma taught me when I was five years old but i haven't got much further than knit stitch & purl stitch...yet! I do plan to teach myself more though. My latest & biggest project yet is a cosy winter cardi...watch this space.

25 years in the making...

On Monday 27th September I will celebrate 25 years of my life. Its a scary thought but i'd like to think i'm growing old gracefully! I wouldn't be able to make beautiful things if I hadn't collected so much junk and craft materials over those years. And its what I love to do...collect junk, recycle it into something pretty, make someone's day with it! So here's a toast to all those cute little buttons, sweetie wrappers & sequins that put a smile on my face everyday :)

Knots

Yesterday i got home to find my kitten Joey had being having fun with all my wool and had managed to tie the whole house up in knots...this took quite a while to untangle, especially the stools tied to the kitchen table! Kittens and fluffy balls of wool...a match made in heaven.

Wedding days...

Red Red Red

Goodbye summer...

I love this time of year...the leaves start to turn golden, I get to wrap up warm indoors with my cat without feeling guilty, or go for a walk wrapped up in a big scarf...

There's lots of new things to come too. September is my birthday month, I'm now an Art student in Dundee so i'm making lots of lovely new friends & doing what i love everyday, and soon i'll be moving into a gorgeous house. Lots for a girl to be happy about :)

Talking of new things, here's some new card designs...
